Filter Dates on DOCPACE® Insights

Learn how to filter dates in DOCPACE® Insights to analyze trends, track performance, and make data-driven decisions.

Overview

Understanding date filtering options in DOCPACE® Insights is essential for accurate data analysis. The Growth Page provides several date filtering choices that allow users to compare data over different time periods.

Available Date Filtering Options

The following four date filtering options are available across most workbooks in Insights:

  • Last Business Day

  • Week-to-Date

  • Month-to-Date

  • Year-to-Date

Each option applies a like-to-like comparison based on the selected date range. For example, if today is April 16th and you select Month-to-Date, Insights will compare data from April 1-16 to March 1-16.

Using the Anchor Date Feature

Users can refine comparisons further by setting an Anchor Date:

  1. Select an Anchor Date to lock a specific starting point.

  2. Apply the same date range logic for accurate trend tracking.

  3. Example: Compare April 1-14 vs. March 1-14 by setting the anchor date to April 14.

Visualization and Data Summaries

Most Insights pages provide visualization options to help analyze data efficiently. Users can display data:

  • By Day

  • By Week

  • By Month

Key Considerations:

  • Incomplete months (e.g., April mid-month) will display partial data.

  • Fully completed months (e.g., March) provide a full dataset.

  • This helps users make meaningful comparisons.

KPI Breakdown Options

DOCPACE® Insights offers KPI breakdowns that allow users to organize data by:

  • Weekday (e.g., Monday-Friday)

  • Hour

  • Month

Customization Features:

  • Adjust row and column settings for better visualization.

  • Set practice hours to ensure reporting aligns with clinic operation times.

  • Include or exclude weekends based on reporting needs.

  • Filter reports to specific time frames (e.g., January 1st - March 16th).

Single-Day View & Anchor Date Impact

Some reports, such as the Daily Clinic Review, focus on single-day insights:

  • Anchor Date Selection: Setting an anchor date (e.g., April 16) allows reporting on the prior day (April 15).

  • Real-Time Updates: Data updates occur next business day—current day data is not available until the following day.
