Understanding the Practice Overview Dashboard

Gain a clear, data-driven snapshot of your practice’s key performance metrics to enhance efficiency and decision-making.

Overview

The Practice Overview on DOCPACE® Insights serves as the homepage for the entire analytics tool. This page provides a summary of all the data reported by Insights across all schedules fetched by DOCPACE®. The goal of this tab is to offer a high-level overview of clinic performance and highlight datasets that may require attention.

 

 

Please Note: This dashboard has been renamed since the making of this video. The Base Analytics are now the Practice Overview Dashboard. 

Data Summary & Filtering Options

The default view includes all data fetched by DOCPACE®, but users can drill into specific datasets using the available filter categories on the right-hand side of the page:

  • Departments

  • Providers

  • Provider Types

  • Insurance Types

  • Appointment Types

Date Filtering Options

Users can adjust the date range using the filtering options:

  • Prior Business Day

  • Week-to-Date Comparison

  • Month-to-Date Comparison

  • Paired Date Comparison (More details on date and dataset organization will be covered in a separate guide.)

Workbook Summaries

Each data summary square on this tab corresponds to an entire workbook available within DOCPACE Insights. These include:

  • Performance

  • Growth

  • Delivery

  • Productivity

  • Adherence

These sections help guide users to deeper insights should specific trends require further investigation.

Key Metrics

Open Encounter Dataset

  • This dataset is still under development and will be available in a future release.

Timestamp Compliance

  • Summarizes workflows and data collected by DOCPACE®.

  • Evaluates timeliness metrics.

Completed Visits

  • Provides a count of scheduled visits that reached completion within the selected date range.

  • Includes new patient counts.

Delivery Metrics

  • Wait Times are broken down into:

    • Wait for staff

    • Wait for provider

Productivity Metrics

  • Throughput Rate: Measures average patients per hour.

  • Daily Visits: Measures average patients per day.

  • Users can adjust this view to see data at an organization, department, or provider level.

Adherence Metrics

  • No-Show Rate

  • Late Arrivals

Using the Data to Identify Trends

By reviewing this page, users can:

  • Identify areas needing attention, such as increased wait times or late arrivals affecting efficiency.

  • Use filtering to investigate specific performance trends.

Exporting and Sharing Data

The Print PDF feature allows users to capture the current view, including any applied filters and date ranges, for easy distribution within the organization.

For example, to report on month-over-month clinic performance:

  1. Set the date filter to Month-to-Date.

  2. Click Print PDF.

  3. Share the generated report with relevant stakeholders.
